Endless Achievements of FMIPA-USK Students Continue to Inspire Through National and International Accomplishments

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Syiah Kuala University (FMIPA-USK) has once again recorded a series of remarkable achievements through the outstanding accomplishments of its students in various fields. Not only excelling in academics and research, FMIPA-USK students continue to demonstrate their capabilities in innovation, leadership, technology, communication, and social service that create real impacts on society.

The continuous achievements earned by FMIPA-USK students prove that they are capable of competing at both national and international levels. Their spirit of learning, creativity, hard work, and courage to keep growing have brought FMIPA-USK into the spotlight as one of the faculties that consistently produces outstanding and innovative young generations.

One of the proudest accomplishments came from the Aceh Provincial Language Ambassador Selection. FMIPA Syiah Kuala University students, Cici Lestari and Urfan, successfully won the title of 1st Best Aceh Provincial Language Ambassador. This achievement is highly prestigious because the Language Ambassador program is not merely a competition, but also a platform for developing young individuals with excellent communication skills, linguistic knowledge, leadership qualities, and awareness of preserving national language and culture.

The success of Cici Lestari and Urfan demonstrates that FMIPA-USK students possess strong multidisciplinary abilities. Amid the rapid advancement of science and technology, communication skills and cultural identity remain important values that young generations must uphold.

The Language Ambassador program itself emphasizes the prioritization of the Indonesian language, the preservation of regional languages, and mastery of foreign languages as part of preparing young people for the era of globalization. Throughout the rigorous selection process, participants are required to demonstrate critical thinking, strong public speaking skills, broad linguistic knowledge, and inspiring personalities.

As a representative of Syiah Kuala University, Urfan will continue the journey by representing Aceh at the National Language Ambassador competition. This opportunity serves as an important milestone not only for him personally, but also for FMIPA-USK and the people of Aceh to showcase the potential of Acehnese youth at the national level.

The entire academic community of FMIPA-USK has expressed full support and best wishes for Urfan to deliver his best performance and bring pride to Aceh.

Another outstanding achievement came from the field of international innovation and technology. A team of young innovators from FMIPA-USK consisting of:

  • Ahmad Hanif
  • Abdan Syakura
  • Fadhlurrahman Alaudin
  • Virzi Mayhand Syahputra

successfully won 1st Place (Gold Award) at the prestigious WYIE (World Young Inventors Exhibition) & INNOPA International Innovation Competition held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia.

The competition is one of the world’s prestigious international innovation events attended by young innovators, academics, researchers, and university students from various countries. It serves as a platform for young generations to introduce innovative ideas and creative solutions that provide benefits for global society.

The success of FMIPA-USK students in winning the Gold Award is clear evidence that the quality of Indonesian student innovation is capable of competing globally. Such an achievement certainly did not come easily. It required a long process starting from idea development, research, testing, refinement of innovation, to presentation skills before international judges.

This international accomplishment also reflects the strong competitiveness of FMIPA-USK students in research and technological development. Their collaborative spirit and creativity have become essential assets in facing global challenges in the modern era.

Not only focusing on technological advancement, FMIPA-USK students have also demonstrated their social awareness through innovations that directly benefit society. This was shown by the VISIONE project team consisting of:

  • Muhammad Azani
  • Aska Shahira
  • Muhammad Hizqil Alfi

The team successfully achieved 2nd Place in the Innovillage competition under the Disability Innovation category. Through the VISIONE project, they introduced innovative solutions aimed at improving accessibility and the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Their innovation reflects the idea that science and technology should not merely be tools for advancement, but should also create real and inclusive social impacts.

Through this project, the VISIONE team strives to develop disability-friendly technology that can support daily activities and improve access to better opportunities in social and educational life.

This achievement has received widespread appreciation because it reflects a strong spirit of social concern and humanity. Amid rapid technological advancements, FMIPA-USK students have proven that the best innovations are those that provide tangible benefits for society.

The Dean of FMIPA-USK, Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, S.Si., M.Tech., expressed his deep pride and appreciation for the extraordinary accomplishments achieved by FMIPA-USK students.

He stated that these achievements are the result of an academic culture that continuously encourages students to grow, innovate, and actively contribute in various fields.

“FMIPA-USK students have demonstrated that they are capable of becoming outstanding, creative, and competitive young generations. These achievements not only bring pride to the faculty and university, but also to the people of Aceh. We highly appreciate the students’ hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication in developing their potential,” said Prof. Taufik.

He also added that FMIPA-USK will continue to provide full support for student development through academic mentoring, research strengthening, international collaboration, and innovation programs that create positive impacts for society.

According to him, student success cannot be separated from the synergy among lecturers, educational staff, student organizations, alumni, and the academic environment that continuously supports the growth of a culture of achievement within FMIPA-USK.

“These achievements show that FMIPA-USK students have a very bright future ahead. We hope they continue to grow and inspire other students to keep creating and confidently compete at national and international levels,” he added.

The series of achievements accomplished by FMIPA-USK students serves as concrete evidence that the spirit of “Endless Achievements” continues to grow within the campus environment. Beyond pursuing personal success, these students have also shown a commitment to creating works and innovations that benefit society at large.

These accomplishments also demonstrate that FMIPA-USK continues to transform into a faculty that excels not only in education and research, but also in character development, leadership, creativity, and social innovation among students.

With a strong spirit of collaboration and support from the entire academic community, FMIPA-USK remains optimistic about continuing to produce young generations capable of making meaningful contributions to regional, national, and international development.
