BANDA ACEH \u2013 Saudi Arabia through the donor agency The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Tuesday (22\/11\/2016) morning reviewed the construction project for three faculties at Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah ).
\nThe review began with a discussion about project progress at the Unsyiah Senate Hall.
\nThe three faculties built with funds from SFD are the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH), and the Unsyiah Faculty of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (FKP).
\nAs is known, SGF has provided financial assistance for the construction of three faculty buildings at Unsyiah since 2014.<\/p>\n
Now, this assistance has been realized in the form of implementing a construction project for three faculty buildings.
\nWhen the progress of the building construction was discussed, Unsyiah Chancellor Prof Dr Ir Samsul Rizal MEng, Unsyiah Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs Dr Hizir, Unsyiah 7in1 Project Implementation Unit (PIU) Team, deans of the three faculties, and consultants were present.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile the SFD delegation consisted of Chief Engineering Mr Abdullah M Al-Shoaibi, Mr Eng Yeaser Albakri (Project Manager Operations Department), and Mr Saeed Almshaikhi (Treasury Department).
\nThe arrival of this delegation was also accompanied by the Project Management Unit (PMU) Team from the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Belmawa Kemenristekdikti).<\/p>\n
This project is generally under the coordination of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. It is called the 7in1 Project, because in this project there are six other universities in Indonesia that receive assistance from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).<\/p>\n
During the meeting, M Abdullah M Al-Shoaibi from SFD said that his party was happy to be able to help Unsyiah in carrying out its duties in the field of education. Plus, Unsyiah has a large number of students.
\n“It is truly an honor for SFD to be able to help such a large campus,” he said.

If there are needs that have not been met, he invited Unsyiah to submit another proposal to SFD for study.
\n\u201cAfter that, we will send a team to inspect the field. “If appropriate, then SFD will allocate funds for this,” said Abdullah.<\/p>\n
The Chancellor of Unsyiah in his speech said that there is still a lot that Unsyiah needs to build. One of them is adequate dormitory facilities.<\/p>\n
The existing student dormitories are still not enough to accommodate all Unsyiah students. Therefore, in the initial stages, Unsyiah only accommodated 7,000 students in the dormitory.
\n“Hopefully these deficiencies will also receive special attention from the SFD,” he said.
