Banda Aceh, May 2, 2024<\/strong> – The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Syiah Kuala University (USK) is forging collaborative ties with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) through various platforms including seminars, webinars, international conferences, and student and lecturer mobility programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Taufiq Fuadi Abidin, S.Si., M.Tech, the Dean of FMIPA-USK, expressed that this collaboration would yield mutual benefits for both students and faculty members of each university. He emphasized that this collaboration would be formalized through a faculty-level Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), with subsequent implementation through an Implementation of Arrangements (IA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured a presentation introducing the Department of Chemistry by Assoc Prof Dr. Sharina Abu Hanifah. Attendees also included AP Dr. Siti Aishah Hasbullah and Dr. Nurul Huda Abd Karim from UKM, who introduced the Sensor Research Group and presented research on various topics, such as polymer nano-fluid as a thermal energy storage medium by Prof Dr. Rusli Daik, and enhancing biosensor membranes for bisphenol A detection with natural additives by AP Dr. Sharina Abu Hanifah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, a video presentation introducing Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) was delivered by AP Dr. Faizatul Shimal Mehamod, providing insights into the university’s programs and initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration marks a significant step towards fostering academic exchange and research cooperation between FMIPA-USK and esteemed Malaysian universities, promising advancements in the field of science and chemistry for all parties involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
