Banda Aceh \u2013<\/strong> In a special moment, two lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Syiah Kuala (FMIPA-USK) were awarded Professor Decrees. The decrees were handed directly by the Rector of USK, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, accompanied by the Dean of FMIPA USK, Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, S.Si., M.Tech. The two lecturers are Dr.rer.nat. Khairan, S.Si., M.Si. from the Department of Pharmacy and Dr. Eng. Elin Yusibani, S.Si., M.Eng. from the Department of Physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr.rer.nat. Khairan, S.Si., M.Si: Expert in Pharmaceutical Chemistry<\/strong>
Dr. Khairan is an expert in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, focusing on Physical Organic-Bioorganic Chemistry. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Chemistry at Universitas Syiah Kuala in 1999 and his master’s degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2004. He completed his doctoral studies in 2013 in Bioorganic Chemistry at Saarland University, Germany, and the University of Applied Sciences FH-Kaiserslautern, Germany. His dissertation was titled “Synthesis of Natural Products, Their Synthetic Analogues, and Evaluation of Various Associated Biological Activities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Khairan’s research focuses on the development of organic compounds from natural and synthetic sources for medical and biological applications. His research has made significant contributions to the development of knowledge in the field of pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Eng. Elin Yusibani, S.Si., M.Eng: Expert in Physical Properties<\/strong>
Dr. Elin Yusibani is an expert in Physical Properties, Thermodynamics, and Nuclear Engineering. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Physics at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). She received her master’s degree from the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology (TITech), Japan, and her Ph.D. from Kyushu University (KYUDAI), Japan. From 2007 to 2011, Dr. Elin worked as a technical staff member at HYDROGENIUS-AIST in Japan, located at Kyushu University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her research includes material physical properties, nuclear physics, and nuclear reactor engineering. Her knowledge and expertise provide a solid foundation for the development of sustainable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dean of FMIPA-USK: Proud Achievement<\/strong>
The Dean of FMIPA USK, Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, S.Si., M.Tech., expressed his pride in the achievements of both lecturers. “The awarding of the Professor title is a recognition of their dedication to education and research. I hope this inspires the entire academic community to continue creating,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening Academic Contribution<\/strong>
The conferment of the Professor title to Dr. Khairan and Dr. Elin Yusibani strengthens the reputation of FMIPA-USK as an institution that produces high-quality graduates and beneficial research. This achievement is expected to motivate other lecturers to continue contributing to the development of science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
