Among the many strong contenders, the USK delegation stood out for its compelling presentation, powerful recitation, and seamless teamwork.

The team was composed of three talented students from different academic backgrounds:

Hazirah Bulqis – English Education Study Program, serving as the pensyarah (principal presenter and interpreter of the Qur’anic message).

Chairunnisa – Informatics Management Study Program, serving as sari tilawah (supporting reciter).

Ulya Farrasa Zayyan – Nursing Science Study Program, serving as the tilawah (main Qur’anic reciter).

Each member played a vital and complementary role. In the MSQ format, the tilawah opens the performance with a melodious and precise recitation of selected Qur’anic verses. The sari tilawah reinforces the spiritual atmosphere and supports the thematic transition. The pensyarah then delivers a structured and insightful explanation, connecting the verses to contemporary societal issues while conveying moral and intellectual depth.

During their performance, the team presented a theme centered on the urgency of strengthening Qur’anic values among the younger generation in the digital era. They highlighted how technological advancement, while beneficial, also presents ethical and moral challenges that require strong spiritual foundations. Their message emphasized integrity, responsibility in digital communication, and the importance of aligning modern knowledge with divine guidance.

The judges were particularly impressed by the clarity of argumentation, emotional resonance, stage presence, and the natural flow between recitation and interpretation. The harmony among the three performers created a captivating atmosphere that reflected both intellectual preparation and spiritual sincerity. Their performance demonstrated not only technical excellence but also a deep internalization of the Qur’anic message.

Chairunnisa expressed heartfelt gratitude following the announcement of the winners.
“Alhamdulillah, we are deeply thankful for this achievement. This competition was a valuable journey for us. We spent weeks preparing, refining our script, practicing voice control, and ensuring that our message was both relevant and impactful. This award belongs to our entire team, our mentors, and our faculty who continuously supported us.”

Hazirah Bulqis also shared that the biggest challenge was synchronizing interpretation with emotional delivery. “We wanted the audience not only to understand the message intellectually but also to feel it. That required intensive rehearsals and mutual trust among us.”

The Dean of FMIPA USK, Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, S.Si., M.Tech., conveyed his pride and appreciation for the students’ success.

“We are extremely proud of this accomplishment. It clearly demonstrates that our students excel not only in science and technology but also in religious scholarship and public communication. This achievement reflects the successful integration of academic competence and spiritual intelligence. Such balance is essential in shaping future leaders who are both knowledgeable and morally grounded,” he stated.

He further emphasized that the faculty remains committed to fostering holistic student development. “We will continue to encourage participation in national and international competitions as platforms for character building, leadership growth, and institutional representation.”

Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships, Dr. Ir.
