Australia Offers Scholarships for Civil Servants

Jakarta – FOR those of you who have Civil Servant (PNS) status and want to study abroad, Australia could be a destination country. Through the Australia Awards Scholarship, Australia offers scholarships to Indonesian citizens with civil servant status

Australian Ambassador to Jakarta Adityo Setiawan said that the selection process for this scholarship, apart from civil servants, was also open to the public and provided equal opportunities to everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity and physical limitations.

The requirements include individual applicants from the government and private sectors, who must not be CPNS, age no more than 42 years, have a minimum GPA of 2.90 (for Aceh, NTB, NTT, Papua, West Papua minimum GPA 2.75).

Applicants for the master’s degree must have an IELTS score of at least 5.0 or an institutional /paper based TOEFL of at least 500 or an inter-based TOEFL of at least 61. Especially for applicants for the doctoral (PhD) level must have a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL.

Applicants must take a field of study included in the priority fields. Benefits provided include English language training in Indonesia, living allowance before departure to Australia, medical examination and X-ray costs as a condition for obtaining a visa, health insurance. Travel costs to and from Australia at the beginning and end of the study period, supporting funds at the start of the study, academic introduction program in Australia before the lecture, living costs while in Australia.
