Unsyiah PAKARMARU FMIPA Students in the New Building

A total of 597 new students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah) again took part in the 2019 New Student Academic and Character Development (Pakarmaru) activities.

Pakarmaru activities will take place from 30-31 August 2019 and involve ra hundreds of D3 and S1 students from 9 Departments at FMIPA are centered in the Auditorium Building new FMIPA Unsyiah, Darussalam, Banda Aceh for the first time.

This event was attended by the Dean of FMIPA Unsyiah, Dr. Teuku Mohammad Iqbalsyah, M.Sc, Deputy Dean I (WD I) FMIPA Unsyiah, Dr. Zumaidar, S.Si, M.Si, Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs (WD III) FMIPA Unsyiah, Dr. rer. nat Ilham Maulana, S.Si, Alumni of FMIPA Unsyiah, Chair of BEM FMIPA Unsyiah, as well as all Departmental Student Associations at FMIPA Unsyiah.

Different from previous years, the event held this year began with the opening of an open meeting by the Dean of FMIPA and Members of the Unsyiah FMIPA Senate.

Dean of FMIPA Unsyiah, Dr. Teuku Mohammad Iqbalsyah, M.Sc, in his speech said that this activity was part of introducing Unsyiah, especially FMIPA.

The investigation centers around the encounters of two female Generation 1.5 Korean-Canadian college students, Yellina and Sheila (aliases). The two ladies were members in a larger longitudinal numerous contextual analysis with seven Generation 1.5 Korean-Canadian students, a mix of people, who went to Pacific Canadian University (PCU, an alias). PCU is an enormous research-concentrated college situated in Metropolitan Vancouver, a city with an approximately 40% remote population. Since 2001, Asians and Middle Easterners include the majority of Vancouver’s settler population, with Koreans as its fourth largest non-European foreigner network. When we got morals endorsement from the college, we decided to dig this topic more and write an essay about our research, we enrolled members through Korean student systems and associations at PCU. Stumarks who agreed to take part in month to month individual semistructured interviews with the primary creator (see Appendix A for test inquiries questions). Other information included data acquired from a foundation poll, the analyst’s field notes and reflection diary, interviews with first-year English course teachers at PCU, just as students’ close to home writings and different types of individual correspondence, for example, email and Web errand person. Last, Kim held casual individual gatherings with members. The point was to expand the reliability of information and investigation by using various information sources, techniques, and focal hypothetical points, otherwise called triangulation. Meetings occurred on grounds from September 2005 to June 2006 and kept going 50 hours each, with some extra correspondence during and after the scholarly year had finished with members’ authorization. The members and the questioner, Kim, are bilingual in Korean and English, so meets were led in Korean, English, and a blend of both.

“This activity really helps students in providing understanding, especially regarding the lecture process and the formation of good character for new students,” continued the Dean.

This year’s Pakarmaru series was implemented in stages at university, faculty and department levels. Starting at university level which was held in the courtyard of the Kopelma Jami’ Mosque, Darussalam, Banda Aceh on August 29 2019. And held again in the same place on September 1 2019. This activity was attended by 6400 D3 and S1 students from 12 faculties at Unsyiah.

This activity, which was chaired by Muhammad Rizki Akbar, was also enlivened by the appearance of artistic attractions from the Seuramo Arts Student Activity Unit (UKM) FMIPA Unsyiah.
