Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Syiah Kuala University Dr. Teuku Mohammad Iqbalsyah, M.Sc inaugurated three new Deputy Deans of FMIPA for the 2020 – 2024 term at the Unsyiah FMIPA Hall. (Darussalam, 10/2/2020).
Those appointed were Dr. Nasrullah, S.Si., M.Si., M.Sc as Deputy Dean I for academic and cooperation affairs, Nazaruddin, S.Si., M. Eng. Sc as Deputy Dean II for general affairs and finance, and Dr. rer. Nat. Ilham Maulana, S.Si as Deputy Dean III for Student and Alumni Affairs.
Iqbalsyah in his speech said that he would like to thank the previous Deputy Dean of FMIPA, who had worked hard to make FMIPA Unsyiah what it is today. Their contribution so far has been very meaningful and has become a special note in the journey of FMIPA Unsyiah.
To the new Deputy Dean, Iqbal asked them to work together and complement each other in realizing the vision and mission of FMIPA Unsyiah. Because according to Iqbal, in principle there is no difference in the position of each Deputy Dean. Everyone plays an important role and must complement each other.
Specifically, Iqbal also asked the new Deputy Deans to work based on the University’s Main Work Indicators (IKU). However, Iqbal also reminded them that they should not only pay attention to the output in carrying out their work program, but also need to pay attention to the outcomes more broadly.
“In this work program, our target is not only achieving output. But also pay attention to the outcome. For example, what are the benefits for the wider community. “So, we don’t forget the impact,” said Iqbal.
Also present at the inauguration was Deputy Chancellor I Unsyiah Prof. Dr. Marwan, Deputy Chancellor II Unsyiah Dr. Ir. Agussabti, M.Si, Deputy Chancellor IV Unsyiah Dr. Hizir, Head of the Academic Bureau Rahmat Lubis, SE, Head of the General and Financial Bureau Maimun, ST, MM and other invited guests.
