BEM FMIPA Social Service in Meunasah Bak U Village

As many as 30 students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University (FMIPA USK) carried out social service for four consecutive days in Meunasah Bak U Village, Leupueng District, Aceh Besar. This activity started on Thursday (9/12) with the official release of the group of students who would carry out this activity. The release was carried out directly by the Deputy Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, FMIPA USK, Dr. Rer. Nat. Ilham Maulana, S.Si, at the local Village Hall Building. This event, which was coordinated by the USK FMIPA Student Executive Board (BEM), is a routine event for the organization every year.

“This year, after conducting a survey, we decided to carry out activities in Meunasah Bak U Village,” said Afdhal, who is also the chairman of BEM FMIPA USK.

Meanwhile, Ilham Maulana in his speech mentioned the importance of the experience of mingling with society for students. Moreover, in the last two years, students have had relatively little socialization with the community due to the Covid 19 pandemic, so many field activities have been cancelled.

“This is a valuable experience for the students who take this opportunity,” said Ilham, who is also a lecturer in the Chemistry Department at FMIPA USK.

Meanwhile, the Geuchik of Meunasah Bak U Village welcomed this group of USK FMIPA students. The village facilitates them with lodging and various living facilities for free.
