Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Syiah Kuala University (USK) released 95 graduates through an Open Senate Meeting in the Context of Local Graduation for FMIPA Graduates Odd Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year, November 2022 Period- January 2023. The event which took place on Wednesday (8/2/2023) in the Multipurpose Hall (Multipurpose) of the USK FMIPA Building was opened directly by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Teuku M. Iqbalsyah. M.Sc and attended by Deputy Deans, as well as Heads of Departments and Study Program Coordinators within USK FMIPA. Apart from that, the graduates and their respective parents/guardians were also present.
The graduates who were released at this local graduation had previously been declared graduates at the FMIPA Judicial senate meeting. The graduates consisted of 11 postgraduate graduates, 81 undergraduate graduates, and 3 diploma graduates. In total, the number of FMIPA USK alumni until the latest graduation reached 6,095 people, consisting of 4,444 undergraduate graduates, 1,423 diploma graduates, and 228 postgraduate graduates.
Dean of FMIPA USK, Prof. Dr. Teuku M. Iqbalsyah. M.Sc, in his speech congratulated the graduates on their success in completing their education at the USK Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Apart from that, the Dean said that the success achieved was not only due to effort and hard work but also the decree of Allah SWT, the Almighty God, through the contribution of many people, especially parents and teachers. Therefore, the Dean added, graduates should use the success they achieve today as a means to also make other people successful.
“In this era of technological disruption, never stop learning. Always innovate and be creative, and face challenges positively. Be patient and work hard. In whatever field of work you enter, no success will come immediately. Success comes as the fruit of hard work, commitment, consistency and an unyielding spirit. All of this needs to be supported by the character of honesty, discipline, positive thinking and the ability to work together. “God willing, accompanied by the prayers of people who love you, you will become successful people,” said the Dean of FMIPA USK in his speech.

About USK FMIPA
FMIPA USK was officially founded in 1993, but its roots have existed since 1989. Currently, FMIPA USK has five Master’s Study Programs, seven Bachelor’s Study Programs, one Pharmacist Professional Study Program, and two Diploma Study Programs (D-III). Since 2021, FMIPA has implemented the construction of an integrity zone to create a faculty that is free from corruption/clean and accountable bureaucracy and provides excellent public services for the USK FMIPA academic community, including students, lecturers, alumni and stakeholders.
