
Banda Aceh, May 21, 2024 – Dr. Zulkarnain Jalil, S.Si, M.Si, a permanent lecturer in the Physics Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), has been awarded the prestigious Science et Impact 2024 grant from the French Government. This program is a collaborative science and technology initiative launched by the French Embassy in Indonesia, involving higher education institutions and research organizations in France.
Dr. Zulkarnain secured this grant following the successful selection of his proposal titled “Research Internship and Joint Publication on Solid Hydrogen Storage Material Prepared by High Energy Ball Milling.” The proposal was thoroughly reviewed and approved by the selection committee from the French Embassy.
The Science et Impact program will be carried out in collaboration with the Institute for Chemical and Materials Paris Est (ICMPE), based in Paris. This project aims to foster scientific exchange and joint research efforts in the field of solid hydrogen storage materials.
Previously, Dr. Zulkarnain was also a recipient of the Séjour Scientifique de Haut Niveau (SSHN) research grant in 2023, also awarded by the French Embassy. This continued recognition highlights Dr. Zulkarnain’s significant contributions to scientific research and his ongoing commitment to advancing knowledge in his field.
