Voices of Excellence: FMIPA USK Students Shine in Poetry and Language Competitions

Banda Aceh — Students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala, have once again made the university proud by achieving remarkable accomplishments at both national and international levels in the fields of arts and literature.

Utari Mulya Agustin, a talented student from FMIPA USK, won 3rd place in a poetry writing competition held in commemoration of World Migratory Bird Day 2025. This competition served as a vital platform for raising environmental awareness through literary expression, and Utari successfully conveyed her concern for nature through a touching and meaningful poem.

Meanwhile, Cut Dhinie Decita, also a student of FMIPA USK, demonstrated her excellence in communication and language by securing 2nd place in the National English Competition 12 (NEC XII), organized by the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Medan. The competition brought together participants from various universities across Indonesia, and Dhinie stood out with her outstanding English language skills.

These achievements further prove that FMIPA USK students not only excel in science and technology but also possess exceptional talent in arts, literature, and communication. The faculty expresses its highest appreciation for the dedication and perseverance demonstrated by these students.

“This achievement is evidence that FMIPA is not only committed to academic excellence but also encourages holistic development and competitiveness in various fields,” stated one of the faculty leaders.
