FMIPA USK Wins 9 Awards at USK Award 2025, Strengthening Commitment to Academic Excellence and Integrity

BANDA ACEH – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) once again achieved remarkable recognition at the USK Award 2025, held at the AAC Dayan Dawood Hall on Wednesday evening (Nov 5). The award ceremony, organized as part of the university’s 64th anniversary celebration, saw FMIPA secure nine prestigious awards across multiple categories.

The awards were presented directly by the Rector of Universitas Syiah Kuala, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, to the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, M.Tech., who attended the ceremony alongside faculty leadership members. The achievement highlights FMIPA’s strong contribution to academic excellence, innovation, and institutional development within the university.

Among the awards received, Dr. Evi Ramadhani, S.Si., M.Si., earned Second Place in the Entrepreneurship Driving Lecturer category. Meanwhile, student Achmad Atha Zayyan achieved outstanding success by winning two awards: Second Place in the Student Achievement in Entrepreneurship Competition category and Second Place in the Technology-Based Product Tenant category.

Another recognition was awarded to Shafira Putri Salsabila, who secured Third Place in the Sustainable Product Tenant category. At the institutional level, FMIPA also received Second Place for Best Faculty in Student Achievement, First Place for Cleanest Faculty, Honorable Mention (First Runner-Up) for Best Faculty Booth, and First Place for Best Integrity Zone.

In addition, the Undergraduate Biology Study Program of FMIPA-USK earned Second Place in the Best Impactful Institutional Partnership Innovation with QS Top 200 Educational Institutions category, further demonstrating the faculty’s commitment to global collaboration and innovation.

In his remarks, USK Rector Prof. Marwan expressed appreciation to all faculties and academic communities that continue to demonstrate strong dedication in supporting the university’s transformation toward a globally competitive institution.

“This achievement reflects the spirit of change and cross-unit collaboration within USK. We hope these awards will serve as motivation to continue innovating and creating meaningful impact for society,” he stated.

Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, also conveyed his gratitude and pride over the accomplishment. According to him, winning nine awards serves as concrete evidence of FMIPA’s commitment to fostering an excellent academic culture that is clean, integrity-driven, and oriented toward community service and student entrepreneurship.

“This achievement is not only a source of pride for FMIPA but also a motivation for lecturers, educational staff, and students to continue moving forward in creating innovations and achievements across various fields,” he said.

The USK Award 2025 ceremony served as an appreciation event honoring outstanding faculties, units, lecturers, educational staff, and students within Universitas Syiah Kuala who have made significant contributions in supporting the university’s vision of becoming an excellent and impactful institution.
