More than 500 New Students Welcomed to USK’s Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty

A total of 560 new students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Syiah Kuala University (USK) took part in Pakarmaru (Academic and Character Development for New Students). Pakarmaru activities will take place from 12-13 August 2022 and will be centered in the USK FMIPA Hall. The Pakarmaru event was opened by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Teuku M. Iqbalsyah. M.Sc and attended by the deputy deans, heads of departments, the USK FMIPA Community, the Chair of the USK FMIPA BEM, as well as the entire Department Student Association at USK FMIPA.

 

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Teuku M. Iqbalsyah. M.Sc explained the profile of the USK MIPA Faculty and said that the Pakamaru at the USK MIPA Faculty level was held for two days by explaining matters related to academics, student affairs and things needed to improve the character and academic abilities of USK FMIPA students.

 

 

The new students who were welcomed to the USK MIPA Faculty had previously been declared graduates and had re-registered (already had an NPM). The students consisted of 177 people who passed SNMPTN, 202 people who passed SMBPTN, 100 people who passed UMB, 48 people who passed D3 Affirmation, 29 people who passed Regular Masters and 4 people who passed Affirmation S1.
This year’s Pakarmaru series was implemented in stages at university, faculty and department levels. The activity was also enlivened by the appearance of artistic attractions from the Seuramo Arts Student Activity Unit (UKM) FMIPA USK.
