Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Syiah Kuala University (USK) Graduated 208 Graduates through an Open Senate Meeting in the Context of Local Graduation for FMIPA Graduates Odd Semester Academic Year 2022/2023, Period August to October 2022. The event took place on Wednesday ( 2/11/2022) at the USK FMIPA hall building, it was opened directly by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Teuku M. Iqbalsyah. M.Sc and attended by the chairman of the senate, deputy deans, as well as department heads/heads of study programs within FMIPA. Apart from that, the graduates and their respective parents/guardians were also present.
The graduates who were released at this local graduation had previously been declared graduates at the FMIPA Judicial senate meeting. The graduates consisted of 8 postgraduate graduates, 180 undergraduate graduates, and 20 diploma graduates. In total, the number of FMIPA USK alumni as of the latest graduation is 6,140 people, consisting of 4,361 undergraduates, 1,562 diploma graduates, and 217 postgraduate program alumni.
Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. Teuku M. Iqbalsyah. M.Sc, in his speech emphasized the importance of good character for FMIPA graduates. It is believed that this will make it easier for graduates to compete in the world of work.
“Brothers and sisters, be patient and work hard. In whatever field of work you enter, no success will come immediately. Success comes as the fruit of hard work, commitment, consistency and an unyielding spirit. All of this needs to be supported by the character of honesty, discipline, positive thinking and the ability to work together. “The research results show that graduates who have good character and integrity are actually more successful in the world of work than those who graduate with a very high GPA but have problems with their character,” said Iqbalsyah.*.
