Banda Aceh, February 13, 2025 – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Syiah Kuala University (USK) officially inaugurated the new management of the Student Executive Board (BEM), the Student Representative Council (DPM), and Student Activity Units (UKM) in a solemn ceremony held at the Multipurpose Auditorium of FMIPA USK.
The event, which started at 09:00 WIB, was attended by the faculty leadership, lecturers, and students from various study programs at FMIPA USK. This inauguration is part of an annual tradition aimed at handing over the leadership baton to the new generation, who are ready to carry the responsibility for the advancement of student organizations within the faculty.
The inauguration was led directly by the Dean of FMIPA USK, Prof. Dr. Taufik Fuadi Abidin, S.Si., M. Tech. The ceremony was also attended by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship of the University, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FMIPA USK, the Vice Dean for Finance and Resources of FMIPA USK, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Partnerships of FMIPA USK, the Director of the Directorate of Student Affairs and Achievements, the Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and Alumni, the Head of the Student Affairs Division, the Head of the Achievement Division, the Head of the Entrepreneurship Division, the Head of the Alumni Division, the Chairperson of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Syiah Kuala University, the Heads of Departments within FMIPA USK, the lecturers who mentor student organizations, and the newly inaugurated student organization leaders of FMIPA USK.
In his speech, the Dean of FMIPA USK expressed his hope that the new management would work with full dedication and a collaborative spirit. “Students are agents of change. We hope that this new leadership can bring innovation and make a real contribution to the academic and student development at FMIPA USK,” he said.
The newly appointed Chairperson of BEM FMIPA USK, Muhammad Aldy Putra Devi, along with his deputy, Kamil Aqila, in their inaugural speech emphasized the importance of synergy between student organizations and the faculty. “We are ready to implement work programs that will have a positive impact on students and the campus. Let us make FMIPA USK a center of innovation and achievement,” they said enthusiastically.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted solemnly with the recitation of the oath of office and the signing of the inauguration minutes.
