In-Depth Analysis: Visitation Agenda Series

1. Document Review and Preliminary Meeting The series began on May 3rd with a preliminary meeting of the expert group at the Muraya Hotel to dissect academic documents and establish crucial points for clarification regarding the curriculum, study results, and teaching staff profiles.

2. Field Verification and Research Facilities On May 4th, the team conducted intensive physical inspections of various units. The primary focus was laboratory inspections to ensure safety standards and equipment sophistication. Locations reviewed included:

  • Atsiri Research Center (ARC): A center for innovation in patchouli-based products, a flagship of USK.
  • FMIPA Laboratories: Including the Basic Biology Lab, Genetics & Molecular Biology Lab, as well as Inorganic and Instrumentation Chemistry Labs.
  • FKIP Facilities: Reviewing education labs, microteaching rooms, and counseling labs to ensure the quality of future educators.

3. Interactive Dialogue with Stakeholders A crucial aspect of ASIIN accreditation is direct meetings with students, alumni, and industry partners. On May 5th, the expert group engaged in dialogue with students from all programs to objectively hear about their learning experiences. Additionally, an online meeting was held with private sector partners to validate the relevance of the USK curriculum to current labor market needs.

Conclusion: Evaluation and Cultural Recreation

The activities will conclude with a final meeting on the afternoon of May 5th to deliver a summary of initial impressions from the experts to the program coordinators and the USK Quality Assurance unit.

As a token of appreciation for the international guests, the ASIIN delegation is scheduled for a brief visit to Dreamlife Beach, Lhoknga, to enjoy the natural beauty of Aceh before their departure back to Germany on the morning of May 6th, 2026.

With the successful completion of this visitation, Universitas Syiah Kuala is optimistic about achieving full international accreditation, further strengthening Aceh’s position on the global higher education map.
