Four students from the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Syiah Kuala University (USK), namely Tasya Ulfika, Silvie Nadiela Sas, Sri Mulyani, and Syafa Nabila, have been accepted as participants in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program at the School of Chemical Sciences, University Sains Malaysia (USM).
They commenced this MBKM program in early March 2024. Over the following months, they will conduct research at USM under the guidance of Prof. Mohd Nasir, Prof. Hazwan Husin, and Dr. Mohd. Ridwan. Meanwhile, from USK, they are supervised by Dr. Rer. Nat. Ilham Maulana, Dr. Surya Lubis, and Dr. Febriani.
The program, initiated by Dr. Ilham Maulana, has been formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between FMIPA USK and USM, as well as an Implementation Agreement (IA) between Prof. Hazwan’s research group and the Department of Chemistry, FMIPA USK.
These four students will utilize their research data at USM for their thesis needs. Their thesis supervisors will be comprised of lecturers from the Department of Chemistry, FMIPA USK, and USM.”
